
Biography
Michelle Millhollon-Guilbeau is the communications director at the Teachers’ Retirement
System of Louisiana, which is the largest public retirement system in the state. Prior
to joining TRSL, she worked on Capitol Hill and at the State Capitol as a senior staff
member for statewide elected officials and as a political reporter. As a communications
professional, she’s written speeches for the U.S. Senate floor and the Gridiron Club
and Foundation dinner. From Press Row in the basement of the State Capitol, she covered
two governors, a future governor, hurricanes, inaugurations and every aspect of the
legislative process.
She has been teaching at LSU’s Manship School of Mass Communication since 2018 and
has a bachelor’s degree in mass communication.
