We Build Teams That Win Employee Recognition Program

At LSU, ”We Build Teams That Win in Louisiana, For the World.” Recognizing the faculty and staff who make up these teams is vital in creating a culture of appreciation for our employees, fostering a positive work environment, improving morale, and motivating high performance.

As part of these efforts, the LSU Division of Marketing & Communications has established the Tiger Team Awards: Celebrating Teams That Win in conjunction with the LSU Office of the President, LSU Office of Human Resource Management, and LSU Athletics.

 

ELIGIBILITY

Teams are made up of staff and/or faculty who have had significant involvement in the accomplishment of a project, process, or initiative (recommended size between 2 and 12 individuals). Teams can be departmental or cross-departmental. Teams may consist of part-time or full-time staff and/or faculty.

SELECTION CRITERIA

Awarded to teams of staff and faculty members who collaborate on a project, process, or initiative that significantly advances the university’s mission, organizational goals, and/or departmental goals through their efforts. These include efforts that result in improved service delivery, innovation in processes, clear measurable outcomes that move the university forward, etc. Team performance exemplifies the belief that at LSU, We Build Teams That Win in Louisiana, For the World.
Nominate an Employee Team

Nominations are reviewed by the selection committee, which is made up of a representative from the Division of Marketing & Communications, Office of Academic Affairs, Office of Human Resource Management, LSU Staff Senate, and LSU Faculty Senate.

AWARD CONSISTS OF:

  • Two tickets per award winner to LSU Athletic event.
  • On-field/on-court recognition of the team.
  • Photograph of team receiving award.
  • Display of graphic recognizing team on stadium screens.
  • Certificate
  • Publicity in News & Notes weekly newsletter.
