Join the CxC Team
LSU Communication across the Curriculum exists with one primary mission: helping students enhance their communication skills. This includes writing, speaking, visual, and technological communication as well as supporting both specific academic fields and communication skills development that transcends a class or discipline. Located in several physical spaces across campus, LSU CxC also offers web-based services to students, faculty, staff and visitors.
Team members, while specializing in a few modes or areas, are expected to be knowledgeable about the breadth of CxC programming so that they can best represent the program and direct students, faculty and staff to the appropriate support. LSU CxC Student Team Members are skilled communicators, enthusiastic experimenters, and passionate supporters of their fellow LSU undergraduates. They support other students in developing strong communication skills needed to achieve personal, academic, and professional goals.
As a program focused on communication, we also rely on effective team communication across projects and locations in order to provide excellent service to the LSU student population. Foundational to effective communication is a commitment to creating inclusive and equitable spaces for students, staff and faculty of all physical and cognitive abilities, racial and ethnic backgrounds, sexes, sexualities and genders, countries of origin, religious affiliations and economic status.
